In the Old Testament, we will l complete 1 Chronicles and move through 2 Chronicles, Ezra, and into Nehemiah. We’ll see David’s legacy, temple preparations, the highs and lows of Judah’s kings, and the return from exile to rebuild what was lost. Through it all, God’s faithfulness holds firm.
In the New Testament, we continue in John’s Gospel and then begin Acts. We walk with Jesus through his final teachings, the cross, and the resurrection. Then we witness the birth of the church, the coming of the Spirit, and the bold first steps of gospel mission through Peter, Stephen, and the early believers.
As you read, may you also be inspired by the stories of God’s faithfulness and the power of the gospel to step out boldly in sharing with other people about the God of the Bible and what he has done for us in Christ.
Have a look at other resources at differentkingdom.com. In John and Acts there is a lot about the Holy Spirit, so why not take a look at the introduction to life in the Spirit on the First Steps posts which are part of the LifePaths resources?
