Welcome to January 2026. Happy New Year!

By the end of this month you will have read the whole of Genesis – the Creation, the Fall, Noah and the Flood, all the stories of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and, of course, of Joseph and his coat of many colours. You will even be well into Exodus and the story of Moses, of the Israelites’ slavery in Egypt and their dramatic deliverance. You will also be over half way through the gospel of Matthew, having read many of the wonderful stories of Jesus, and of course his magnificent Sermon on the Mount.

Two new helpful resources for this year are a PDF with all the readings for the whole year and, even better, a brilliant spreadsheet on which you can tick off the readings you have completed and can track your progress over the year.
